I love and enjoy working with children especially with babies. I worked at a daycare in the baby room for 5 years. I completed all my stars required by the State of Washington, child and infant CPR, which I keep renewing with time. After this, one of the families from the daycare contacted me to nanny their 3 children, at their home, transporting the two older boys to school and arranging play dates for their daughter to various activities. Now, I have decided to take care of babies (starting 1 month).

Betty was the full-time nanny for our boys from December 2019 to October 2022.  She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and hardworking.  Both boys love her.  Our younger son starts laughing and clapping his hands when she walks into our kitchen in the morning. And our older son shouts "Betty!" when he sees her. The only reason she is moving on is because our younger son is turning one and we are transitioning to daycare, as we had always planned to do.

Betty started with our oldest son when he was six months old.  He had recently had an NG tube installed and was struggling with feeding. Betty was very attentive, following all the instructions from his doctor and feeding therapist. Betty started with our younger son when he was just a few weeks old. Though he has not had the challenges our older son had, Betty has been just as attentive to his needs.

Betty was our full-time nanny from January 2016 until July 2019.  She began working with us when our youngest son was 3 months old.  She helped calm and guide us through the challenges of being new parents. Betty is extremely loving, patient and kind.  She is passionate about showing our sons a loving and structured environment.  She miraculously helped with potty-training our 3 year-old son while caring for our 3 week-old newborn.  She clearly loves children and is comfortable and very capable of taking care of kids of many ages.  Betty has such a positive energy that radiates through the house.  It's so nice to hear our sons laughing when she arrives in the morning. Separation issues are not a concern as they are so comfortable with her.  She sings and reads to them in Spanish and has given our older son the foundation to be fluent. She is an amazing caregiver who readily gets down on the children level to play with and engage them.

I am writing this review about our former nanny, Betty, who is a wonderful and loving nanny. Betty cared for our son for almost one year. She began when he was seven-months-old and stayed with us until he started daycare. We highly recommend Betty as a caregiver because she is very experienced, absolutely loves children, and is extremely dependable.

Experience: Betty has worked for many years in a daycare and for several families as a nanny. She has also raised three children into lovely adults that I have met. Through these experiences, Betty has immense knowledge about babies and children, including safety, health, illness, and development. For him, Betty made suggestions on how to make the house safer for him; she fed him healthy foods, and comforted him when he was sick; she helped with his motor and language development, as she knows more about activities than I do. She taught him to crawl, walk, count, body parts, etc. 

Love for children: Betty absolutely loves children. She has a lot of energy and uses it to sing, entertain, and teach. She gives more than 100% everyday because she genuinely wants children to be happy and well cared for. 

Extremely dependable: In the year that Betty worked for us, she never asked for a day off. She has been flexible enough to go on vacation when our family did. Betty is always on time and stays late every day, so the house is clean and in order when she leaves.

Betty has been our full time nanny since January 2011, caring for our three children, ranging in age from 2 1/2, 5, and 8 years old.  We first met Betty at our daycare, where she started caring for our oldest son at 4 1/2 months old.  She also cared for our middle son from infancy as well.  We were so fortunate to stay in touch with Betty through family; and were able to able to arrange for her to work solely for us when our daughter was born in August 2010.  

In addition to caring for our daughter, she transports the two older boys to and from school.  She arranges play dates and takes our daughter to various activities.  She sings to the children and teaches them Spanish when at the house.  She also does laundry, dishes, and dinner prep.  She is truly an amazing, energetic person!  Betty is also a prompt, dependable individual.  She is flexible, and often will stay late or work an extra day if needed.  

It had been a blessing to have Betty with us for this time, as there is no one more kind or dedicated to the care of our children.  She always had a smile and is friendly to all.  We consider her part of our family and will be sad the day she is no longer working for us.
