About Avery

I'd describe my personality as genuine, adaptable, and dependable. I like working with kids because I love watching them learn, grow, and gain confidence. I'm looking for a long-term full time position. I grew up as the big sister in a large family, so I've always been around younger children and helping take care of them. As a young teenager I became the neighborhood babysitter and I have worked professionally as a nanny for the last 4 years, regularly volunteered in childcare at my church. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. One thing you should know about me is that I have regularly worked with neurodivergent children, which has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and identifying the needs of each unique child. Families can count on me to follow through on my responsibilities, and I enjoy finding activities that keep children genuinely engaged and learning.
