About Mariana

Hi families! I'm Mariana, a Chicago-based substitute teacher with 5+ years of childcare experience, a background as a Registered Behavior Technician and former toddler teacher at a daycare. I've worked with kids of all ages and needs over the years, so I'm comfortable in a lot of different situations. My RBT experience means I understand how to support kids with different learning styles, behaviors, and personalities. And having worked with toddlers, I know how to keep little ones engaged and redirect when needed. I am CPR/First Aid certified and take safety seriously, but I also genuinely like hanging out with kids, whether it's arts and crafts, outdoor time, cooking simple things together, whatever they're into.
