About Amanda

I first met Amanda about a year ago when I was looking for a caregiver for my 94 year old mother who lives with me. I wanted someone who would be able to care for her for a night or two on occasion as well as long term periods when we wanted to travel. As soon as I talked to Amanda, I knew she was the right person for my mom. She has a cheerful personality and is a great conversationalist. But most importantly she is experienced and has the essential care giving skills necessary for working with elderly people. Amanda has stayed overnight with my mother several times, and more recently when we were out of the country for a month, she came to our home everyday between noon and 8pm. She prepared meals, helped with showering and dressing, and provided companionship for my mother. She also took wonderful care of our house, watered the plants in the yard, and cared for our two cats. She was an excellent communicator when questions arose and even dealt with a leak that developed in our bathroom downstairs. I could not have asked for a more dedicated and helpful person to be there with my mother and to care for our home. My mom told me that Amanda was so kind to her and twice gave her a mani/pedi! I wholeheartedly recommend Amanda to anyone in need of a caregiver, and I will most definitely be calling her the next time we go away.
