About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as energetic, caring, and honest. I like working with kids because they have a certain light that shines through them. Their imagination and laughter is infectious. Not to mention the beautiful connection and bond one might form. Some people may think taking care of a child is a constant battle, filled with tantrums and tears. I like to think it's quite simple. Give them what they need, be mindful of what they want, and love them like they deserve. I started working with kids when I was 16. I babysat for different families throughout the years. At age 19, I took care of 2 children, a boy and a girl, everyday after school for two years. I immediately fell in love with the job. Cooking meals, playing games, and running around outside with them became the light of my life.
