About Allison

I've always loved children - my parents have long maintained that even as a toddler I was more interested in babies than other kids my age. After spending nearly a decade in a desk job, I've decided to switch gears and come back to what I've always enjoyed most. My hands-on experience is mostly with kids 8 months to 6 years old, though I'm comfortable with all ages. I'm patient, calm, and a big believer in positive reinforcement and having a most-generous-interpretation mindset. I'm an arts-and-crafts girl at heart but I'm just as happy to participate in outdoor activities or video games if that's what your kiddos are into. I can't say I haven't been talked into an extra story or two before bedtime but I'll follow your lead on house rules. My schedule is flexible, so I'm open to full-time, part-time, or occasional sitting.
