About Alexis

Hello families! I'm Alexis! A Prairie View A&M alumni and current University of Houston graduate student with the goal of becoming an English college professor. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have always had a passion for helping children with their developmental growth and caring for their overall wellness. I have had experience working with children while working at Jessup Elementary as a teacher as well as KinderCare daycare center as a lead teacher. I also have experience with children from being a camp counselor at Texas 4-H Center. As a camp counselor, I was responsible for planning, leading, and implementing core and non-core programs and experiences for children in a small group setting. I was also responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of the participants in my group.
