About Alexia

With many years of babysitting experience, I've cared for my nieces and nephews since infancy which is where my love for caring for children began. Over the years, I've worked with children of different ages and personalities and I've really enjoyed learning their individual needs, interests, and personalities. I have 5+ years of experience as a pediatric medical assistant, where I gained experience in child care first aid, and health monitoring. I also spent 2 years as a behavior specialist working with children on the autism spectrum which gave me a deeper understanding of how each child experiences and interacts with the world differently. This taught me patience, understanding and the importance of meeting each child where they're at. I'm also a mom to a 3-year-old boy so caring for children is a very big part of my everyday life. Having my own child has given me even more hands on experience through every stage and deepened the love I've always had for caring for children.
