Experience: 4 yrs
Knowing I can positively impact a child's life is what drives my passion for childcare. I enjoy supporting families by providing a safe and fun environment for their children. With several years of experience caring for children aged 2 months and older I am comfortable with up to two children. My approach is patient, friendly, and respectful. I prioritize open communication with you, following your preferred method for daily updates or addressing any concerns. I am very comfortable enforcing household rules and happy to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision. I love playing outdoor games , board games, and would love to learn your child's favorite games. I am also certified in First Aid Training and CPR Training. I am eager to bring my energy and skills to your family!
Addi watched my children twice. She was kind to them, and they enjoyed her company. Unfortunately, she was not a good fit for the sitter/mother's helper role I hired her for. Before her second visit, I specifically reached out to confirm she was comfortable with the mother's helper responsibilities because I hadn't seen much initiative during the first visit. She assured me she was happy to help with whatever I needed. I am recovering from surgery and hired someone specifically to help with both childcare and light household tasks. During the second visit, I was home for most of the day making important phone calls and only stepped out briefly for errands. My oldest was happily occupied on his tablet for much of the visit, and my youngest spent a good portion of the time watching Disney movies, so there were long stretches where they simply needed basic supervision. To her credit, she unloaded the dishwasher, but it took a significant amount of time. When I checked in throughout the day, I frequently found her sitting on the couch on her phone or watching TV with the kids. I also asked if she could help fold some clean laundry while I was out. There was a large backlog of clothes, towels, and linens, but I wasn't asking her to finish everything—just to "put a dent in it." When I returned, none of it had been folded. She said she didn't know whose clothes were whose, but she could have easily asked or simply folded everything into separate piles. If you're looking for a babysitter whose primary role is supervising your children, she may be a good fit. However, if you're hiring someone for a true mother's helper position and expect initiative with agreed-upon household tasks during downtime, my experience did not match those expectations, and I would not hire her again.
