We interviewed Abby and had a positive initial impression. She was out of the country, so we waited about a week for a scheduled a trial with our son for when she returned. Less than 24 hours before the trial, she cancelled — she had accepted another position, which is completely understandable if she hadn't already made commitments. We had specifically discussed reliability as an important factor for our family, and this experience made us unsure we could recommend her on that front. We also had to reach out first to learn about the change, rather than hearing from her proactively. If you're considering her, I'd suggest being clear upfront about availability and communication expectations.
